As a former seat of Croatian king, Šibenik surely has some stories to tell. Wondering through its streets you won't be able to resist true treasures hidden in its chest. Our local guides will take you trough the rich history that lies neither in Roman or Greek origins.
Top sights in town date from Venetian times but the most precious sight is The Cathedral of St James, proclaimed UNESCO World Heritage site.
After some time spent in Šibenik, we will take you to one of eight National parks - river Krka. The beauty that can only be described as mesmerizing and a natural phenomenon because of its seven travertine waterfalls. There are about 100 caves along the flow of the river, and 40 of them are in the National park area.

 

*One thing you won't be able to do in Šibenik is to get married in May. According to the legend a girl made an oath to be a nun if the city is spared from the plague. Since that time nobody is getting married in May honouring the young girl and also believing that the marriage will be doomed. That tradition still exists today.


 

ITINERARY:

Driving from Split towards the city of Šibenik is a wonderful opportunity to explore the beauties of Dalmatian inland. We reach Šibenik joust in time to meet the local guide who will take you on a journey to get to know Šibenik's history and beauties. 

After enjoying in cultural and gastro specialities we take off towards the beautiful landscapes of Krka river national park where we spend the rest of the day.
